This feels like a 50s Cronenberg movie. 3 people went up in a spaceship and only one came back. The one came back weird with physical oddities with strange fingerprints, amoebas and slime trails leaking out. We follow the scientists and sheriff hunting this person down. It definitely feels a bit dated, not conventionally scary, and very British. I really dig the creature aesthetics and willingness to go strange, but lacks the psychological transformations in something like The Fly. There are some good classic actors in this and a fun, short runtime. Going to see the sequel at the New Bev tomorrow!
