Had never heard of this one before. Doesn't stick everything it's going for but they do some pretty things in there. It's been a few days since seeing it now and I've forgotten how it ends, so, that's maybe not a great sign, but I still feel like it was worth watching. So, do with that as you will. You expect more from a jude law film. Movie was very meh. He doesn’t portray a crazy person as well as I had expected.

You expect more from a jude law film. Movie was very meh. He doesn’t portray a crazy person as well as I had expected.

Interesting because the first act is incredibly boring and forgettable whereas the second act is extremely tense and terrific. Jude Law gives a tremendous performance as a man becoming greedy when he is miles down in the sea, raising the conflicts between him and the other crew mates very raw and dramatic (the editing style and music also help). The other characters aren't as interesting or as memorable and the cinematography could've been a tad bit better under the given setting, but "Black Sea" still manages to be terrifically acted and suspenseful. A re-watch may be possible in the future.
