It's so overwhelmingly gloomy, that it gives some kind of a nausea, it's very very powerful in any shades of blue. Feels like absolute despair.
Anything besides that would be a spoiler in some way, it has great music, perfect cinematography and quite strange, even though the theme of the movie is clear.
If I were a lighter with a little fuel left then this whould fully extinguished any flame left in me
Yeah, in other words, I'm pretty much left speechless

After my first watching of The Comedy, I could tell I did not come into the movie with the expectations needed to enjoy it to its fullest. I rewatched it shortly thereafter having adjusted, and I grew to love it. I started this movie with the same approach that I did on my second view of The Comedy, and this also worked for me. Alverson's characters are severely emotionally repressed and under-developed as people. He kind of writes his protagonists to be Wes Anderson characters without the aesthetic flair. It makes the movies interesting from the perspective of a character case study. The finale of both his movies I have seen are perfect.
Also, Jagjaguwar produced this? That is cool.
