this kept me intrigued the entire time and every time something new was revealed it only peaked my interest further. i felt for each of the characters, and that was because of the cast's performances (jane fonda, anna bancroft, and meg tilly)
now about the dialogue... on one hand seeing it in the film and acted out its nice and some moments stick out, but on the other hand other times it seems that's all it was meant to be. i don't know i found myself enjoying it most of the time. same goes for the story, once it started to get to an interesting point of discussion or almost said something (about the church lol) it just backtracked out of fear of saying something too crazy, which leads to the entire story not taking a side and doing the same thing!
(which is a bit sad in my opinion but if we dont think about it then the film is interesting)
this is one of the best jane fonda has looked probably in the history of ever.
