“you could get a mortgage like other people!”
“do what?”
“borrow it from a bank.”
“well, I do borrow from banks, that is my job.”
“i mean with their permission.”
“i thought you needed a reference to do that..”
i was expecting to like this film more than i did, it’s one that’s been recommended to me a lot by various family members. it wasn’t that bad but i still didn’t really enjoy it.
i wanted it to involve more action during the train robbery sequence for example, it was still a good scene regardless.
julie walters is such an amazing actress and really portrayed some of her best work in this picture, she was a great mother to their daughter and i just felt so bad for her.

Went to visit my dad and he was clearing out his CD collection.
Amongst them was a free promotional copy from the News of the World of this in one of those little cardboard sleeves.
My reaction was "Phil Collins did a movie?"
My dad was bewildered by the fact I had never heard of the Phil Collins smash hit comedy "Buster" and immediately we sat down and watched it together.
And you know what? For a film I literally heard of 90 minutes ago I found myself throughly entertained. Cheers for that Phil, really hit the spot, well deserved Academy Award nomination for best original song👍
