Capra's final film is a remake of his own Lady For A Day, which while inferior to the original in a way that makes me respect the earlier film more, it's still an enjoyable enough if tired time and feels like a final hurrah to the Capra we all know and love. The cast of old favorites and future stars is a delight, and Capra seems a tad more comfortable with his filmmaking here as compared to A Hole in the Head. Though it is too long and has far more focus on Dave the Dude than Apple Annie to my liking, at least the original still exists for this film to be a curious companion to.
