So much to talk about with this Hong Kong zombie mall horror film! A strange mix of Dawn of the Dead meets Trainspotting.
The movie starts off as a slacker, buddy comedy following the most disagreeable, Woody Invincible and Crazy Bee as they run their small-time bootleg movie store.
The half of the film follows these two and their mall escapades as they pick fights, harass women and other store owners and commit small crimes. In classic Zombie movie fashion, you slowly start to hate most of the main group of characters which are primarily misogynistic self-preservationist men.
What follows are a few great tonal shifts as the slacker hijinks turn to zombie action and character drama. Final third and the ending were solid!
