I really do love the zombies in this, the prosthetics and makeup are great and the practical gore and fluorescent blood is fantastic but the characters in this film are really uninteresting 😬
Michael is so annoying and interrupts the flow of any scene he's in ( I get he's meant to imitate the voyeurism of an adolescent but God do we need that in a zombie horror film??).
Not to be rude to the screenwriter but the characters in this are idiots 🤣🤣
I have a lot of sentiment when it comes to practicals in horror films and I love zombies in media so I'm more forgiving than critial than I should be for this film. I think I'm going to sell on my copy but I have to say I'd recommend it to fans of pre 2000s zombie horror films, you can certainly do worse 😂😂

A very grotesque film in terms of its gore, characters, relationships, and overall tone. Its crappiness, and at most times nonsensical and dumbness, make it a film like no other. I mean, where will you ever see a 10-13-year-old son who wants to get freaky with his mom amidst all the gruesomeness they're experiencing? Overall, it was a very entertaining experience and a film that I didn't expect to like as much.

Wasnt going to give this a heart and then THAT scene happened and I had no choice but to love this. It features a gorgeous 80s synth soundtrack that is is one of the other redeeming qualities of this movie. It's nonsensical nonsense, but it's disgusting and for that I am grateful. And again, a brutally bleak ending which I ALWAYS welcome.

Michael saved this movie. Any restoration of it should include 25% more Michael, and any time he's off screen, characters should be asking "Where's Michael?"
