It was thoughtful and interesting. I liked slowly learning about who David was and how it affected him and who he was as a person. It never lost my interest and I’m glad that I watched it.

i did not expect to like this as much as i did, especially with it being a pretty dude-being-bros movie (i don’t mind the whole biopic element as much as some other ppl). jason segel's acting, in particular, was fantastic throughout, but that one scene of him talking to jesse eisenberg when he's half-conscious at like 2 am was so enrapturing and even, enlightening.

watching slc punk made me want to visit some other films w jason segel and this one did not disappoint!! really enjoyed the conversations between the davids, sometimes i felt so seen it was scary. fuck i think i have to read infinite jest now⁉️
