“I love you, Molly. I’ve always loved you.”
“Ditto.”
Just watched
Ghost for the very first time and I’m completely, utterly compromised by it... Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg delivered absolute masterclasses, bringing so much genuine heart and visceral humor into the screen. That iconic pottery scene? Pure romantic alchemy! It proves you don’t need explicit scenes to convey intoxicating intimacy, just raw, unfiltered emotion... Unchained Melody forever 🔛🔝
The narrative balance is brilliant, pivoting flawlessly from laugh-out-loud comedy (Whoopi Goldberg is carrying the entire world on her shoulders) to devastating drama. That early twist of Sam being murdered caught me completely off guard in the best way possible! At the 45-minute mark, I genuinely wondered how they’d stretch this into a two-hour epic, but the pacing is immaculate, it just flows beautifully!
It’s unapologetically schmaltzy, hilarious, and romantic all at once! A definitive crowd-pleaser that kept me grinning throughout. Sure, a few elements feel a bit bitter on the tongue now and haven’t aged perfectly, but you have to filter it through the lens of 1990… It absolutely stands the test of time. Whoopi Goldberg winning best supporting actress was the easiest, most well-deserved academy decision in history. A total masterpiece, great classic!
