Thank you mom for recommending this film to me. I can always count on my parents to know the best Tom Cruise and Patrick Swayze films. This film is such a definitive classic. It has everything that should be in a great film. Romance, humor, tension, drama. Nothing is corny or hard to watch in this film either. Well, the CGI is a little iffy but it was 1990 so it’s okay. The performances are all phenomenal with Demi more, Whoopi Goldberg, and the legend Mr. Swayze. The standout performance for me was for sure Tony Goldwyn. He was exceptional as Carl and his over the top performance worked wonders for me. The banter between Oda and Sam is also top notch. It is hilarious just to see the two characters interact without ever being able to see each other. I think the premise of this made the movie itself and everything else was a big fat cherry on top. P.S. - Unchained Melody will be played 24/7 for me.
