hmmm yeah this sucked. i had high hopes since this had been on my watchlist for forever (since the short-lived jeff goldblum era) but it went from having the potential of being the type of '80s comedy i like from being to becoming the type of '80s comedy i hate. some ok bits but mostly annoying tedious characters that made me do this exact expression: 😐 they were fucking insane for that ending like genuinely there were no jokes in the last 5 minutes of film. geena davis in this makes me feel things so the stars are for her. also kramer is here

I don't get why people shit on this movie.

Yes, it's sometimes tiring with it's jokes and yes, the costumes are very outdated but this was camp, like high level camp!

Jeff Goldblum you gorgeous gorgeous man, I fall in love with you time after time.

The set and costume design was whimsical and very vibey and I especially liked the soundtracks and the ending.

Overall, pretty fun watch for my Friday night!! ;]

Translyvania 6-5000 is such an amazing concept with sadly such poor execution. My stand out for this movie was the settings and just overall vibe. Im a sucker for old horror comedy movies and at times this move IS that with excellent humor and just the right perfect horror flic vibe but with the over done repetition of jokes and gags, the humor quickly devolves, Es not good. Which likes sucks so much because Jeff goldblum is in this movie and who doesn’t love Jeff goldblum.
