this is a new version of my old review of this movie, i had to finish it first to completely understand veera’s character. he freed her, all that money and luxury couldn’t heal her trauma because she literally met her rapist everyday of her life.
i was annoyed by her happy-go-lucky and childlike personality, because girl you are being kidnapped rn and i hate the stockholm syndrome trope. but SA, especially childhood can shape somebody’s personality, it eithers make them go completely dark or they tried to cover it all up with a talkative and happy personality.
ik a lot of people probably hate the bittersweet ending, but i think it was perfect
