In a tiny community enclosed by wheat fields, the adults shelter indoors, while six children venture out on their bikes across the scorched, deserted countryside. Il libro mi ha sempre dato la sensazione di dire bene la maggior parte delle cose ma di dirne troppo poche. Questo film ha un respiro più ampio, bella perla

i forgot i watched this movie a while back. my italian teacher showed it to us. it’s a coming of age story that molds itself around the real problem of random kidnapping that was prevalent in italy during the 1970’s. i thought this was executed quite well as we as the audience had a fair idea of what was going on but we saw the situation through the eyes of michele who is only nine years old. although he couldn’t entirely grasp the situation he understood something was wrong and he must be secretive about it. i thought the sound was good as while watching i could almost feel the thick dry of the hot southern italy summer heat. good watch and afterwards my italian teacher told us a story of how when he served for italy he went on a random kidnapping rescue mission.
