I hated every minute of this.
I love movies about dysfunctional relationships, but I don't understand the praise of this.
In the opening scene its alluded to Mat (with one 't' because that's edgier) having fucked his girlfriends child?! and then it just continues like were supposed to find anything this idiot does is charming in its indifference. Maybe that wasn't the intention-OK, fine. But it seemed like it to me, some looney toons vignette over their hands and grunting. MAYBE i've watched too many episodes of Law & Order SVU- but everything about this crap is ambiguous and non committal.
Also, i fucking LOATHE interpretive dance and the kind of bloated narcissism of an improv group and I get the feeling its those kinda asshole who found this impressive.
I've seen this concept done so much better, this was flat and boring and not the least bit compelling.

The characters are great, the acting is great, it has its own fantastic style. Never wastes a minute and yet barely anything happens?

BONUS POINTS: That whiny, almost cartoon like score, "You guys are French so do you say 9/11 or 11/9?" is the best throwaway joke of the year, stabbing the knife into the bathroom door sums up so much.
