It’s so refreshing beholding a celluloid that (almost) radically contends its ideology at the time.

Adam’s Rib astutely showcases sexual disparity — an issue that has always been relevant — and the preferential outlook within the jurisdiction. And poses a conviction that women merit the same sovereignty and respect that men have ungrudgingly been bestowed to. Despite that, the picture couldn’t help but falter; for its incentive to yield a woman a power of speech and a stance was present, but the cause of fair treatment swiftly diminished as the narrative tinkers with yet again tenuous misogyny.

Needless to say, Katherine Hepburn was unbelievably terrific this; withholding the larynx of wisdom, authority, and certitude. It made me esteem her even more (if that is even possible), knowing the zeitgeist of her time.
