I think the premise, the greyish tonal Hong Kong setting and melodramatic feel were elements of the film that made it an engaging watch; the first half, that is. Once we roll into the second half, it kinda feels sluggish and the pacing of the film,is unfortunately at a confused, snail's pace. the kill/accident scenes (although entirely based on sheer dumb luck and coincidence) were amazing, albeit highly improbable.
