Anders is 10 years old and has one great passion: diving. He is going on holiday to Greece with his dad, whose behaviour is erratic due to his heavy drinking. They are secretive about their holiday, because the social welfare would stop them going if they knew. Only Grandmother knows. In Greece, Anders takes up his diving, but Dad isn't able to keep himself sober, and consequently Anders has nobody to turn to.

anders my poor boy… 😞😞😞

the story made me tear up… seeing it from a childs perspective hurts so much, prob will never rewatch cuz that ending really got me 😭 ik what it implies but i cant help but hope anders is somewhere really nice with his grandma and dad (once hes sober and gone to therapy…).

i also feel like you can really see mads range in this! hes often typecasted as the big bad villain in hollywood films but if you look deeper into his danish films, you can see how impressive he really is!!!!
