The more recent Barbie films are terrible compared to the golden era ones, but The Pearl Princess is alright. I do like the fluid animation style, and the outfits and colour palette are beautifully done, but the plot itself is pretty boring and the characters don't have much personality, so it's a bit difficult to root for them one way or the other; the music isn't too good, either. Overall, I think it's best to stick to A Mermaid Tale if you want mermaids, but there's definitely worse in the Barbie film universe.
