Again, I am devastated by the fact that they never had their happy ending. This is such a good movie that I cried. I cried because of the realization that this actually happened back in the day within the military.

​Imagine how many people in the past had to hide their feelings. All those "what could have beens" and "what ifs." I wish we lived in a world where homophobia was not a thing, and where there was no such thing as the idea that loving someone of the same gender is a sin. Love was never a sin.
