Miike has really done every single genre hasn't he? A stage play based off the film from 1979 I mean this is just crazy man. I’ve watched so much from Miike to the point where I’ve been checking out his more niche films like this and they are always a surprise, you never know what you’re gonna get.
This is really well made and has a great cast and made me want to check out the original film but I don’t know how well this would work for most people. I definitely feel like I just appreciate that Miike would go out of his way to direct a stage play cause this really was the last thing I expected from him. Definitely a movie you should check out if you’re a Miike completionist or if you like plays.
