solid! i only knew about this because professor tim bell played the credits sequence during our genre lecture for watching film freshman year, and i was very intrigued. most accurate aspect of this is how FAST that mini cooper drives. the concept of accidentally breaking someone's motorcycle so you allow them to drive your car to your house is so alien to me it may as well be in an entirely different language

A pretty terrific horror film! Set in the Lake District which was very lovely, it’s such a wonderful place for a zombie outbreak to happen. I loved the very gory physical effects, they were pretty great. And the overall story was quite good, with some infuriating police work and some very creepy zombies. It did feel slightly slow at points with some pretty crap performances, it was good enough though and I liked it, pretty simple but still quite decent.

I will always respect a film that is bold enough to kill off its two main characters at the end. However, this didn't really do it for me. Took way too long to get started, and while I really liked the atmosphere, cinematography, and special effects, it just felt a little flat to me. A really interesting concept that I felt just didn't live up to how cool it could've been.

This is the exact kind of film that I enjoy: the cheesy B-horror films from the 70s/80s. The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue is, for someone who is often not fond of zombie films, incredibly enjoyable and perfectly gory. It's such an odd concept for the start of a zombie apocalypse which is what makes it so fun (same reason I love Return of the Living Dead). The setting of the British countryside is the perfect slow-burn with the dramatically ironic murder mystery to await the mega climax at the hospital. I often feel something is lacking from films of this genre but I can never pinpoint the problem; Manchester Morgue does not apply. Recommended.> "Heil Hitler!"
