In 1993, Bikini Kill toured the UK with grrrl associates Huggy Bear. Lucy Thane made a documentary about the trip, also featuring appearances from the Raincoats, Sister George, and Skinned Teen.

“We have to recreate the environment that we’re having these shows in…when any kind of violence erupts- stopping shows and dealing with it right off instead of like, just pretending it’s not happening.” -Kathleen Hanna, 1993Great short doc. Love seeing the riot grrrl bands/scene in the UK because I’m much less familiar with them. Glad to see more of the queer side of the genre as well. I will definitely be checking out more of Sister George, their song Virus Envy rules.
