the art of first person view is very difficult to tackle in the form of a movie. it could be very hard to stay engaged when everything is nauseatingly active. but this film has a good blend of fucked up mutations, skin getting ripped up and so much splatter gore that it kinda makes up for its flaws.
the villains that are faced aren’t frightening enough. although there are some creepy images and frightening looking character designs, it should’ve been utilized more.
the main voice actor sounds like an arnold schwarzenegger rip off and says “fuck you” every 5 mins when he kills somebody. the voice dubbing definitely terrible but it’s hilarious to a degree. sometimes i did get annoyed by how many times they just look at the ground because there’s literally nothing there
the dialogue scenes are very interesting to view through an audience’s perspective. you’re hearing voices talking to the main character but it’s never known where it’s being heard. during those scenes of dialogue, it feels like you’re watching a loading screen with whatever is happening.
this is a fun watch but definitely not the greatest. luckily it sticks with this adrenaline rush to keep it from going to trash with its poorly executed aspects.
