i watched this w my brother bc he had to do a history assignment on it LOL anyways i was pretty skeptical at first, it felt like the opening scene had a really low budget which made me worry abt the rest of the movie, but in the end it was very touching and for the most part i was pretty engaged in it. war movies aren’t usually my cup of tea and this story was particularly harrowing, but i’d definitely recommend this film to ppl interested in that kinda stuff. gallipoli is straight up the only thing they teach abt world war 1 at aussie schools but i’d never rlly thought abt the aftermath and how it affected so many more ppl indirectly, so this was a cool perspective tbh; however it’s hard to tell how much of it was actually true bc he seemed to just know shit as if by “magic”. anyways war bad
