A movie that I watched late at night because... why the hell not? It's a movie that thinks it's really dramatic and emotional but in reality isn't at all. It's very forced. The over acted performances don't help because they are too silly to take any seriously. The cinematography, while having that "awesome" poster shot (<--- which I think is terrific), is very bright with the odd choices of lighting the director took. It is a inspirational tale, paced smoothly, and there is some feeling dedicated to the main character and his dream of getting his dad back. And not to mention that the screenplay does take a turn away from a typical Hollywood family film... only to go towards a typical Hollywood film ending, wrapping it up in a nice little bow. But the out-of-place editing, laughable dramatic moments and just the goofiness look overall makes the film not that impressive.
