I guess my 100th half star rating!!! Thank’s Craig!!!
In all seriousness this movie was one of the worst experiences iv’e ever had in my life. Every attempt at conveying any type of emotion is just so embarrassing. You can't just show absolutely nothing happening in the story and then imply or act like your creating a unsettling and slow-burn type of tone.
Just based of that the movie so fucking frustrating and boring to get through but holy shit is every other aspect of this movie just fucking awful. I get that it’s a low budget indie film but that deosen’t excuse just how bad the acting is, every actor is clearly held back, unwilling to let go of their egos and CLEARLY just don’t give a shit about performing well in this movie.
And omg the music just made me very upset. It was not only shit but also implied several tones throughout the movie that the movie itself really didn’t manage communicate well or live up to.
Yeah this what happens when you make movie as person who is untalented, lazy, don’t what the fuck your doing, can’t communicate anything properly and have nothing to show.

Disturbing, but that little actor, Jacob Freeze, did a great job.

I can say that the acting is mostly pretty good, it was shot well, and the sound is fine. The rest of the movie isn't so great. It's pitched to us as the story of a boy slowly getting a taste for murder, but that's not exactly what we get. I was expecting something like The Prodegy or Brightburn, but it's not on that wavelength. This is a very slow and meandering movie about a kid who lives in an our of the way motel with his father who runs it and how messed up he's become. There isn't really a slow burn as much as there are a series of sparks that are followed by a lull. It's not really scary, thrilling, or disturbing; it's just a bunch of uncomfortable moments where you cringe in anticipation of what comes next, but your predictions are often much worse than what we get. It's almost like they want to go all the way, but are too afraid to. There are quite a few plot lines that just fizzle out and in no way is the ending a satisfying conclusion to any of them. Much like The Prodigy and Brightburn, there is an amazing movie that could be made with these elements, but unfortunately we got this instead.
