HARVEST THIS, MOTHERFUCKER!
wow! genuinely: wow! i cannot believe that this boring ass franchise produced a film this schlocky, this stupidly fun, this ridiculous and joyful. i really want to rewatch this soon with a group of friends because it's genuinely fantastic in the ways it is so bad and funny. i love it.
my favorite parts:- amish boy longs to hoop so badly that he leaves the child of the corn faith, instantly understands the game despite spending half of his life in corn fields- amish boy gets taught how to dap someone up- several people biting into corn raw, despite the fact that anyone who has been around raw corn knowing you cannot just bite into that shit and have it taste good and not crack your teeth (even if it's sweet corn)- eli ranting to drunk dad about child of the corn stuff and drunk dad just saying "ok?"- round trip nebraska to chicago in one day- maria turning into a comical miniature as she is picked up by the monster
they're saying this is the perfect B-movie. i would be inclined to believe them

Most Franchises get dramatically worse by the third movie. Children of the corn stays solid and good. I like that this time they are in a big city. Nothing that I expected and thought that it would work, but the little cornfield behind the house gave me the same chills as in the first two movies. He who walks behind the rows was very visible and it was "dirty" (a little bit funny). The twist between the two brothers gave this movie something very new for the franchise.
