Brosnan would have had a great career as a villain if he wasn't so handsome. I can't decide if this should have leaned into the serious tone a bit more or the comedic tone, but either way it should have picked one instead of the weird mix it ended up with. I didn't really get what it was going for during the first hour, but this movie ends in such a hilarious and over the top way I loved it so much. Sadly some very strange editing choices and direction got in the way of the film.

as soon as pierce started all that thrusting about and that sex scene i kind of forgot the plot im not even gonna mask it or lie anymore . and then he had sex AGAIN and i kind of just forgot how to exist. there is poison in my fucking blood there is actual poison

also the references to the two of them being gay again IS KIND OF REAL i felt the homosexuality
 
he ruined someones life or whatever (hecanruinminenext) idk how he was just getting away with that though? the ending is really weak and theres like no sense of anything because doesnt harry still have loads of debt to pay off and andy is still a cunt

EDIT: okay i figured out my problem with this film and that was the tone. at the start i was like oh it's trying to be funny, and then suddenly it's trying to be a serious take on corruption, and then it's trying to talk about spies and politics. it paints andy as a cunt and then lets him get away with everything, it paints harry as a guy trying to redeem himself more than anything and then takes everything away from him and tries to end that on a light note when it's really very sad and would've worked more as a dark ending? but that tone just isnt there. all the pieces are there but they dont always fit together
