There is a warmth in all this beautifully bleak and cold scenearios that go perfectly with the anguish the four pairs go through: future, death, loss, intimacy. You'd thought there's a distance despite their "discussions" and differences, but they are closer than they thought.
Alan Rickman could have been a great director.
