Second half of the movie took me for a spin, an emotional one but it was worth it. Falling in love with a dying girl really could bring out the best out of any man no matter the circumstances. It crazy how death is portrayed in this movie, it’s both something that doesn’t feels heroic or even dramatic, it’s just real. There’s no buildup to make it feel meaningful in a cinematic way,it just happens, and life keeps moving. That’s what makes it hit so much harder. It feels raw, almost uncomfortable, like you’re watching something you’re not supposed to romanticize. By the end, it left me with this empty but reflective feeling, like the characters never really had a chance, and that’s what makes it stick with you.
