I've got a lot to say today, so just hear me out, guys!
When I first watched this, it was with my Christian best friend and my Muslim teacher.. and I'm Buddhist. We prob had different perspectives, but we shared one thing in common: humanity. Honestly, that was one of the best movie-watching experiences of my life.
24 years ago today, the tragic 9/11 attacks happened. So many innocent Americans were killed, and on the other hand, many innocent Muslims were bullied afterward because of the actions of one inhumane man.
My name is Khan and I'm not a terrorist.
No religion tells us to kill each other, get violent, or harm ourselves. Allah didn't. Jesus didn't. Buddha didn't. They all taught us to become the best versions of ourselves.. just in different ways. And we need to understand that. Just because we're not walking the same path doesn't mean we're enemies.
And speaking of that, today, Charlie Kirk was shot and killed. He had his own beliefs in politics and he debated with people. I don't see anything wrong with that. Ofc, I'm against most of his ideas, but at the end of the day, he was just a human being like us. No one deserves to be killed just for having different beliefs -- unless they've done some serious shi, like Min Aung Hlaing.
