Wow amazing I loved this film. Tbh I didn’t know if I was going to like this because the beginning is kinda slow but I was super engaged with the story after. This is one of the films where I wasn’t expecting that ending especially the plot twist. Super well done definitely recommend!

Closer to a 3.> I'm so sorry, Josh. There have been two movies that the Cult Movie Club has screened that I never got to see (this & 'Horror Express'). There is a ton to like about this movie. Constance Towers' performance is stunning, practically chewing up the scenery and giving us something truly fun to watch. The cinematography and lighting are exceptional, and the decision to discuss some controversial topics in 1964 was bold and worked in the movie's favor. Unfortunately, this is a movie that I more so admired than enjoyed. Much of the tone didn't work for me, with some parts feeling too unserious, which clashed with other parts of the story. Much of it made the movie not pack the punch it needed to for me to find it truly stunning. It has many strengths, and I like it more than I dislike it, but otherwise it isn't for me.
