The conclusion to a trilogy of films in which Bill Night is the coolest motherfucker alive that every woman wants to fuck. Inordinately dense, with stately direction by one of the West End’s great directors. It’s crazy these were made for TV by the BBC given the star power involved in all three films. I could barely tell you what they are about and frankly the scandal seems quite mild compared to today, but you won’t have a bad day with these at all. My favorite of the trilogy. A great reminder that spy thrillers can also be soft and understated, as deceit lurks carefully in the shadows. A complete end of spectrum to other BBC works like COLLATERAL that are  more keen in unleashing shocks and violent scenarios unto the audience.
