"Oh God! Somebody help me! I'M POSSESSED!"
After watching the Martin Short docu, one of his movies I was looking forward to watch was this one. Not just because he called it "his biggest flop" (which it wasn't, btw) but because the premise seemed like the perfect vehicule for Short to do his best physical comedy... And I was right. This movie works because you immediately endear to Jack. He's a hypochondriac, neurotic supermarket cashier with tons of anxiety but also, a huge heart. Dennis Quaid is the cocky Army pilot, arrogant enough (or maybe drunk enough) to submit himself to this very risky experiment 😅😬 And Meg Ryan is the lady in the mix, she's a journalist whose only flaw seems to be that she's in love with Tuck, the cocky pilot.
The special effects are particularly good in this movie - I mean, for a 1987 standard. The performances are really nice, Martin Short is the best part of this. There's some wacky shenanigans but that's exactly why you want to watch this movie.

Its a pretty fun time with my family. It looks like a classic that never got its full attention, that you should definitely check out if your into 80s films and you havent watched this one.

The VFX??? Stunning!!! I don’t think anyone was asking for people at 50% size but we got that and it was amazing!
