Man, 70’s movies would just end that way, huh?

The most clearcut entry into the *Las Venturas canon yet, this is Electra Glide in Blue* and it's a damn nihilistic one. The Western turned on its head — where bikes replace horses, hippies replace outlaws, and idealism is snuffed out at every junction. One of those ones where the final shot literally makes the film — everything before it was setting up for the cruel one-two gut punch-line. It's not a comedy or in anyway experimental or surreal, but this has to be one of the most offbeat films I've seen. Almost every scene feels off to some degree as if something is just beneath the surface ready to burst (and in some sequences it does break on through to the other side). Unconventionally inexplicable in an inordinately unexplainable manner.

Slow burn 70s cop caper with a surprising amount of heart. Pretty mediocre movie. Nothing much stood out to me except for that gorgeous final shot.

Really interesting inversion of Easy Rider that’s just as shaggy but a touch meaner and with a little more plot.
