A supersonic plane suffers the completely predictable dual problems of sabotage and a disease outbreak during its maiden flight in this bottom-of-the-barrel disaster film. It has all the hallmarks of a made for tv movie, except for a gratuitous topless scene in the plane’s palatial restroom and a dying character’s ‘fuck the plane’ line.
Wanna see Mr Brady play against type as a colossal prick as he pilots a model of a Concorde that’s hanging from a string? How about homophobic ass John de Lancie insult a caricature of a gay steward played by Billy Crystal? Or maybe Lorne Green doing the Lloyd Bridges part from ‘Airplane’ is more your thing?
Thrill as the 1000 member cast of tv and bit actors call out ‘London’ or ‘Senegal,’ one by every painful one, as they try and decide where to land the plane. And then feel baffled as the script seems confused about the relevant geography.
Prolly would have been improved accompanied by a Hungry Man Salisbury steak tv dinner.
