Wow. That sucked shit.
I’ve said before in reviews of other Shaw brothers movies, that generally the ones that stand out are the ones with a good gimmick, as generally the action is always going to at least be solid.
Well, this movie had the best gimmick imaginable and it made every bad decision possible.
First of all, they have Dracula inhabit the body of a Chinese sorcerer guy. He changes his whole vibe, so we don’t get to see Dracula do classic Dracula stuff.
Fine, okay, maybe this is done so that Dracula can do some kick ass kung fu. Nope, he doesn’t do anything . He is defeated so easily with zero effort.
Okay, well at least the action is good right? Honestly, some of the lower end stuff from these movies. Like it’s fine, but other than the fact that they are fighting vampires, not a damn thing about it stands out as notable or memorable.
Just an utter disappointment. I may have seen worse Shaw brothers movies before, but this is such a waste of a good idea that it is my least favorite so far. Shame on this movie!
