How does this have an average rating of 2.5? This is coming from someone that loves alien abduction films?
The most annoying and cliched characters, pointless plot lines that lead to nowhere and absurd character decisions.
Why does the lead character get so annoyed at everything in the first 10 mins of the film? Why do they set off fireworks whilst driving a car (in the day time as well)? Why does the girl get out of the car and stare at the UFO? How do the police get to the house if the fallen tree is blocking the only road? Why does the boyfriend lock the other characters in the basement only to hide in the bathtub? Why is Jacob Tremblay in this movie? Why do the aliens have psychic powers but only use them once? Why does no one call the police at any point during the film? Why do they not try to leave after finding a crashed UFO and footprints leading to their cabin?
Just some of many, many, many questions I found myself thinking whilst watching it.
On a plus the alien design was pretty cool and the ending was (unintentionally) hilarious.
