Pratik efektler çok gerçekçi hissettirmese de bana çok doğal ve samimi geliyor ondan dolayı bu konuda ekstra sevdim John dedemi, cidden iyi kullanıyor pratik efektleri.

Has some really effective practical horror effects. The story itself didn’t hit me as hard as i wanted it too. Still enjoyed this but came away slightly disappointed with higher expectations from Carpenter.

It’s amazing how much of this I forgot. It ends a little abruptly, but it has a nice Twilight Zone feel to it that feels so distinctly at home in the 90’s that it gives the entire film a sort of unshakable charm. Psychologically, it’s ambitious, tackling the nature of reality, religion, storytelling, and the human mind in ways that remind me how great of a storyteller John Carpenter was.

A great rewatch! Definitely picking this up on DVD at some point. Sam Neill is awesome in it.

Wtf was this. One of the most confusing, detestable, unhinged films I’ve seen in a minute. The story revolves around a man who travels to a secluded town to find a missing author, but like his books make people go insane, everybody starts to go insane. I couldn’t tell you where the real storyline was in that film, I mean I could tell you the main character exists at least. Somewhere he is going insane, I’m just so lost. Sure this movie was unique, it had a crazy premise, and plenty of action and thrilling sequences it was watchable I’d say. But it was so random and so goofy, nothing more than a 90s director saying lets do the most random stuff ever and see if people enjoy it. Not worth a watch 5.9/10
