an amazing movie which portrays a soldier's descent into insanity because of war.
for the budget, this movie is absolutely amazing. from the start i already loved the atmosphere, and it really did not disappoint. you follow a man named frankie (who had previously also served in the vietnam war and the past tortures him mentally) , who along with his wife, and eraserhead deformed type baby, live in extreme poverty. .
the soundtrack, is amazing, very 80s which is sick and it just fits. acting on some parts felt rather bad or cheap but i'd say rick giovinazzo (frankie) manages to play really well. the atmosphere throughout the whole movie is just bleak, dark and hopeless. from inside frankie's empty house or on the streets, no other way to describe it, it kind of shows the shitty town they live in and all its shitty people, drug addicts, gangsters, whatever the fuck.
