This movie chronicles the life and times of R. Crumb. Robert Crumb is the cartoonist/artist who drew Keep On Truckin', Fritz the Cat, and played a major pioneering role in the genesis of underground comix. Through interviews with his mother, two brothers, wife, ex-wife and ex-girlfriends, as well as selections from his vast quantity of graphic art, we are treated to a darkly comic ride through one man's subconscious mind.

Given that I almost exclusively wear graphic tees, Crumb would probably want me executed on the spot.

How strange it feels to praise this so highly while feeling so dirty and estranged from the human race But also that makes so much sense this is so good but what it shouldn’t be surely I’ve been removed from my comfortable place and sucked out into something between unpleasantries and joy Two hours of only the underlying sinister but the core of something harmless Dopey and silly still somehow Ridiculously well formulated trains of thought of the most uncanny and delirious nature So so so eloquently put it almost sounds natural Surely thats what makes this so special The limit of our language is the limit of our comprehension and it feels like it’s all here All my questions answered but given birth to so many little baby questions all crying out and whining like little baby questions I feel like that limit was surpassed and now I know so many things about such a small amount of stuff But could that apply to so much more ? Yeah probably actually what a stupid question but I won’t press that backspace oh no no no A privilege to be put in the minds of a small family and human-system but disastrously revealing in kind of the best way bc it’s such a thorough and elegant train wreck One of a kind maybe I reckon
