This was lowkey iconic
Of those films that my past self would have hated but that my current self might actually enjoy, I didn't have a blast, but it has enough personality and silliness to keep me from hating it.
It has that iconic personality in its dialogue and characters, and I feel that's why many people (including me) might like this film; but the reality is that it takes itself way too seriously, which makes it the viewer's job not to take it seriously. So, if it were a more self-aware film that embraced its silliness, it would be infinitely better.
I liked the opening credits with their single-shot sequence, which is odd since the camerawork is the worst part of the film; although the overall look, with its granite style, is generally good.
And well, superficial characters, generally predictable as hell but some good kills are also added into the mix.
