This is fucking lit and while I don’t think this proves Kubrick as some directorial god and most of the striking moments in this are probably happy accidents or just as a result of it being a well structured and well shot movie and you’d get similar moments if you repeated this experiment with any other film of a similar calibre..... it does still feel deeply unsettling and definitely draws attention to details that may otherwise fly under your radar. Also on a purely visual level it’s amazing to just look at
