i agree with my goat zay here that the the thing comparisons are a bit weak. isolated snowy psychological horrors have basically become their own genre at this point and i think its time we move past those comparisons. its tiring 👎

this definitely feels like a low budget movie but honestly some of the body horror was super well done and the hallucinations (atleast id like to think so…)) were well done. they looked kinda shitty but it was in a way that felt off putting. dont know how to describe it but i see other reviews in here saying similar things so i know i am not crazy.
the ending was meh and it did not have great pacing. i was pretty unfocused at the start. i would definitely like a more clear answer to everything going on here. leaving a majority of things up to the viewer’s interpretation can work, but this didn’t intrigue me enough for me to really wanna do all that.
overall it’s definitely solid and i hope i can find this guys most recent work for free somewhere!! i’m shocked that this was his debut! excellent first film tbh
