I’d like to preface this in saying, I saw the live theatre play in the Wyndham theatre in London on the 23rd June with Ewan mcgregor.
Fird tuo is like to say, this was genuinely one of the funniest plays/musicals I think I’ve ever seen. So much of the jokes were so out of pocket. I was throughly entertained. Most of the characters were absolutely awful people but that’s part of the charm I’d say.
The entire cast absolutely killed it and I’m genuinely so happy I went to London to see it. (10 hours coach journey there and back was very much worth it).
Tried stage door on Monday night and only Elizabeth came out, acquired her signature. I’m far too committed to the bit so I tired again on Tuesday. Got the entire casts autographs (including Ewan’s!!) which was really fucking insane.
I have far too many photos and even one of him singing my program. Though I am extremely embarrassing apparently… he asked me how I was… I had no words for a solid minute, only to say very good. It has been over a week and I’ve come back to say I’m still embarrassed and it’ll lurk in my mind forever.
Genuinely an event I’ll never forget and ngl think I need to get a frame for the program (even if that means I can’t read the autographs in the inside)

Get that girl an inhaler goddamn. Not a movie for people with motion sickness. I like Wallace Shawn but he’s too goofy for me to believe he’s some vaunted sanctimonious courier-of-God or whatever he’s supposed to be. But eh there were some good scenes in there and I would probably like it more as a play. And really it makes me wanna rewatch Vanya on 42nd Street.

Yeah theater is fun but wouldn’t you much rather be trapped inside a man’s waking nightmare for two hours?

Andre and Wally as geniuses. Hopefully we can get one more project from them before they pass.
