it was a hard watch. because of the untreated illness, Valerie is extremely erratic and paranoid. watching this I wondered if this truly was her behaviour. also her ideology made her kind of transphobic. and the portrayal of Candy Darling is strange I guess. I don’t know much about that whole factory scene in that time, which I will fix. but still looking up Candy Darling, she is just different from what is shown in the film.
