Fun and certainly charming but for an “Australian” film, it’s way too clean which kinda makes it feel inauthentic at times

It’s wholesomeness can’t be denied though.

Almost 30 years ago, and almost 10,000 miles away, but I know this family. 

I haven’t seen many characters that feel like the people that I grew up with. Midwestern movies feel cartoonish. I don’t relate to the “Ope, I’m gonna squeeze right by ya.” characters. Our culture is more similar to the South, but those movies, comedies in particular, feel mean-spirited. The Castle is so sweet in its ribbing.
