Extremely existential, and a cool interplay on the Americanization of European countries, such as France in this film. Edited in a way that I’ve never seen before; the film felt unfinished which I think was done purposefully.

The dialogue was intriguing, camera work was unpredictable, and you can clearly see the French New Wave aspects at play. 

Overall a really interesting watch.

An important moment in cinema, no doubt about it.

I enjoyed the camera & editing techniques but the story did drag slightly for me, it didn’t help that Michel is so thoroughly unlikeable but luckily Patricia was there to carry it.

I appreciate this film and it is incredibly inspirational, very French and a little dated.
