Guiron systematically chops up Gyaos like sushi including a decapitation that sends Gyaos’ head flying. This might be the single most brutal thing I’ve seen in a kaiju film. The thing is, this is explicitly a kid’s movie. Really traumatizing stuff. Old Gamera movies are something else. The kaiju fights are always so brutal, but the tone is so silly.
