Brooke Sheilds deserves the world

“she’s a child”
- photographs her completely naked. 
this isn’t a movie about love; it’s a movie about a lost childhood, cruelty, and fucking a fucking child. violet has developed a twisted sense of what’s right. her mother abandoned her, and she finds a new source of protection in this guy, who’s also very ambiguous. why spend the whole movie insisting that she’s a child (the only person with the pianist who said that), but then end up kissing her, beating her, and marrying her? bravo

i understand the art, the depiction of child exploitation and sexualization, and if others view this as a powerful and complex story told with artistic justification, but for me Malle is a sick fucker for putting Brooke Shields into this kind of environment.
